Let me save you time by sharing what I learned about screening vacation rental guests! ????

With online bookings and automated check-ins becoming the norm, most of us don’t even get to see our guests! While this process is super convenient, it’s still important to be able to screen our guests to make sure their identity is authentic in order to avoid unprecedented events from happening such as credit card fraud, criminal activity at your property, and others.

The process of screening is actually easy! You can screen your guests manually by asking them for an ID and sending them a rental agreement form that they can sign and send back to you. Others like to use tools that allow them to automatically send guests a form when they book!

Collecting Leads

Create Your Google Form

  • Go to google and click on forms (*please note this only works if you have a gmail account)
  • Choose the 'Contact Information' form and then customize it with name and email ONLY (asking for too much information could result in a frustrated lead who ends up not filling out any information)
  • *NEW→ Go to 'Responses' and click the 3 dots and choose 'Get email notifications......'
  • *NEW→ Go to 'Settings' and turn OFF both toggles under 'Requires Sign In'
  • Go back to questions and click 'Send'
  • Beside 'Send via' choose the link icon
  • Click 'Shorten URL'
  • Click 'Copy' to copy your link
  • Go to Canva and insert link in your button

Add Form Into Page

  • Open your desired landing page in Canva and customize (if needed)
  • Take your link from your Google form and insert the link in your button
  • Publish your landing page as a website
  • Take that link from Canva and share it everywhere to start collecting leads today!
