It’s important to have a monthly to-do list to maintain your home. Simple things like checking your safety devices or sealing your windows can go a long way to improve your home life and avoid future costs on repairs. Here’s a simple list that you can do this month!

1. Deep clean the laundry room. Use a special tub cleaner or vinegar solution and run the washing machine on a hot water cycle. Clean the rubber rim inside the washer and dryer doors, remove lint from the dryer vent. Clean your laundry room shelf, mop the floors, and restock on laundry supplies.

2. Refresh your bedroom. Put your duvet, bedsheets, and pillow cases in the washer. Sprinkle baking soda on your mattress, leave it for 30 minutes, and vacuum it with the help of an upholstery attachment. It’s also a good idea to flip your mattress at least once a year.

3. Spice up your porch. Spring is the perfect time to make your porch look cozy and inviting. Add a porch swing, rocking chairs, or a glider for comfortable seating. Add potted plants, welcome signs, and cushions to complete the look.

4. Clean items on open shelves. Items placed on open shelving can get dusty and grimy overtime. Make sure that you check and clean them at least once a month. Appliances on your kitchen counters can also collect dust. Make sure to wipe them with a soapy towel and also to clean underneath them.
