April Home Maintenance Tips

New month, new maintenance goals! ????

With the days getting longer and the sun getting warmer, April is just the best month to freshen up both your home’s interior and exterior! Here are some tips to add to your to-do list:

1. Prevent mosquitoes from getting close. Check containers outside your home for stagnant water and empty them. It might also be a good time for your regular pest control!

2. Clean out trash cans and recycling bins by spraying them with a hose inside out and then brushing them clean. Leave them upside down to dry!

3. Check your safety devices. Are you tired of hearing beeping in your home? Replace batteries on smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as needed.

4. Spruce up the front porch. Sweep the porch floor and wipe the exterior windows, windowsills and front door. Clean your furniture and decor and rearrange them to make them look fresh and new.

5. Test your sprinkler! Don’t wait until it’s too late, take time this month to test each part or your sprinkler system or irrigation system, adjusting or repairing as needed.

Finish these tasks this month and you’re home will thank you!
