Cancer Survivor Day
I believe that your home should be a sanctuary, especially during challenging times. If you or a loved one is a cancer survivor, consider these tips to create a healing environment at home:
Embrace natural light.
Exposure to natural light can boost mood and provide a sense of calmness. Consider adding more windows, skylights or replacing heavy drapery with sheer curtains to allow more sunlight in.
Bring the outdoors in. Incorporating plants and greenery can improve air quality and promote relaxation. Even just a few potted plants can make a big difference in your home’s atmosphere.
Incorporate calming colors. Soft blues, greens and neutrals can evoke a sense of calm and tranquility. Consider adding these colors to your home decor or painting your walls with them.
Declutter and simplify. Removing clutter and simplifying your living space can create a sense of calm and help you feel more in control. Consider donating items you no longer need or use.
Make space for self-care. Carve out a space in your home where you can relax, practice meditation or indulge in a soothing bath.
Let’s celebrate cancer survivors and create healing environments in our homes. ❤️????
